This book outlines the teachings of the National Outdoor Leadership Schools (NOLS).  NOLS is considered the standard by which all outdoor schools are measured by.

This book covers Expedition Planning, Equipment, Clothing, Camping and Travel Techniques (using the NOLS philosophy), Maps and Compasses, Emergency Procedures, Weather, and Cooking.

This book lives up to the NOLS reputation.  It is through, well written, and we believe anyone who reads it will learn many things.  It gets a 5 star rating.
